A culture-promoting agency: A3 Communication is raising awareness about the identity of Gnaoua music
By celebrating Gnaoua culture, the Festival has restored status and dignity to a previously marginalised segment of Moroccan society. These artists—descendants of slaves from sub-Saharan Africa—once performed on the only stage available to them: the street. Since the creation of the Festival, Gnaoua maalems have graced the world’s great stages, and Gnaoua culture has reached all corners of the globe. From Abidjan to New York, from Paris to Sydney, Gnaoua music has become a musical phenomenon. Crowning achievement: in 2019, the art of Gnaoua was listed on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the result of hard work and commitment on the part of Festival teams for over 20 years.
An ethical agency: A3 Communication is committed to social responsibility and sustainable development
The A3 Communication Agency is one of the very few communications agencies to receive the distinction of the CGEM label, which recognises companies and organisations committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This commitment consists of the defence and promotion of universal principles of social responsibility and sustainable development in all aspects of economic activity and social relations, and consequently in the workplace. A comprehensive respect for all stakeholders’ expectations as well as existing law represent a few of the commitments that A3 Communication has incorporated into governance since the agency’s creation.
